Warehouse Operative / Water Spider - Gloucester - 10 months
The pay rate on offer is £11-£12 per hour.
Introduction
The objective of the Water Spider is to facilitate material movements within the client's site.
Key Responsibilities
Daily stock check of material in shop stock locations, record and document levels
Check shop location refill list & send to stores
Movement of material to required locations within the Dowty business
Maintain accuracy and validation of stock in Syteline within stock locations as material is moved
Transact Syteline/Kronos/smartsheet booking to update stock in alignment with completed move
Maintain traceability records for manufactured/tracked parts as material is moved
Optimise deliveries from stores to direct line stations
Effectively control / maintain / set up Kanban systems
Notify planning of any material shortages preventing stock from being in place
Collect & process scrap notes relating to shop material levels
Chase down paperwork required to support line movement
Qualifications / Requirements
Computer literate
Self motivated
Ability to manage multiple tasks
Prior experience in production control or planning, supervision, sourcing or material control environment
Ability to work effectively with a logical mind
Good communication skills
