Job Title: Qualification Test Engineer (Environmental & EMC Qualification)
Location: Hybrid/London
Duration: 6 months with likely extension
Rate: Up to £60 per hour (negotiable) via an approved umbrella company
Must be willing to go through the SC Clearance process


Our Defence client is looking for a Qualification Test Engineer (Environmental & EMC Qualification) to join their team.
In this role, you will support the planning, conduct, review and reporting of Environmental & EMC IVVTQA activities for your programmes throughout the engineering lifecycle that ensures compliance of our clients products. You will engage with a team of engineers who are core to delivery of successful E&EMC activities for each of our clients projects.


Your Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the allocated E&EMC V&V activities, meeting time and quality expectations of the associated stakeholders.
  • Supporting team members to enable them to deliver assigned V&V activities.
  • Continuous implementation of and champion IVVTQA best practice and contribute to continuous improvement activity to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support E&EMC IVVTQA needs/requests from the Project V&V Lead for technical requirements/issues/activities, including changes to current and future demand of resource.
  • Own, manage, implement and deliver an evidence based approach for IVVTQA activities relating for project/programme.
  • Apply IVVTQA principles and best practice across the SE lifecycle, from requirements, design, integration and the V&V stages, supporting the acceptance process.


Your Experience:

  • Degree/HND/HNC or equivalent experience in IVVTQA/ITEA for Environmental and EMC Engineering/Systems Engineering.
  • Competent in the use of DOORS or similar requirements management tool.
  • Experience of planning and conduct of IVVTQA activities within a Systems Engineering lifecycle.
  • Previous IVVTQA experience in accordance with Military/Defence/Industry Standards.
  • Experience within a UKAS test environment.
  • Previous IVVTQA experience in Software Engineering or Control Systems Engineering.
  • History of delivering accurate qualification test documentation.
