Working within an Agile scrum team the UX Designer will lead the Interaction design on the project working closely with the User Researcher and Content Designer in the team. They will apply Design Thinking principles to design accessible public and internal services that are simple enough for everyone to use and meet the GDS standards. They will work with other scrum team members and the product owner and business stakeholders to identify and work with users to understand the user needs and business objectives in order to visualise and assess the existing end-to-end service and key interactions along the journey to suggest changes to the design that better reflect the user needs and business objectives.

Experienced in UX design and can evidence previous work in UX Design applying Design Thinking practices and running business and user research workshops. The ideal candidate will have experience working with the GDS standards although not essential. A UX/Interaction designer able to translate and understand user and business needs into outcomes that enhance the citizen experience delivering incremental features that can quickly make things better. Will need to research and understand current journey's legislation and practicalities then design modernisations to improve efficiency and experience.
