Experis Consulting has an exciting and unique opportunity for experienced Systems Engineers who are interested in being trained in all aspects of Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), all while working in partnership with one of the biggest thought leaders and market leading organisations within the UK. This is a great opportunity to join Experis' ever growing consulting division where you will be trained and developed whilst representing Experis on one of our largest accounts.

If you have some commercial experience working within systems engineering, possess a keen interest in GNSS and would like to take the next steps in your career then this could be the opportunity for you. We offer a blended approach to learning, consisting of both classroom and on the job learning equipping you with the skills needed to enhance your knowledge and existing experience within this industry.

The cutting-edge training will be rolled out across a 12 month period and will cover the core principals of GNSS, including navigations systems (SatNav, Inertial navigation), geodesy, sensor signal processing, secure systems and product design to name a few.

Once the training has been completed, you will become a qualified GNSS Engineer where you will support the delivery of highly innovative secured navigation. As a permanent member of the team, you will contribute to all stages of research, development, consultancy, and product support activities in the field of resilient Position Navigation and Timing (PNT). Other key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing technical expertise and advice on PNT aspects
  • Working across a broad spread of technical, project and security domains
  • Identifying, capturing, and driving forward innovative PNT solutions
  • Innovative Design, Development & Testing of PNT products
  • Provide technical expertise and advice on GNSS aspects

In order to fit the criteria, you must have existing experience gained in systems engineering. You must also:

  • Have a Degree Level qualification or equivalent (ideally in an engineering or technical field)
  • CEng or equivalent

  • Ability to analyse and resolve complex issues
  • Professional commitment to high quality, and a passion for learning new skills
  • Detail oriented individual with the ability to rapidly learn new concepts and technologies
  • A strong team player with the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively in a geographically disperse working environment
