Subsea Technician

Role Summary/Purpose:
* Supporting our engineering groups by completing the assembly, test and analysis of a variety of subsea equipment and assisting in the on-time delivery of critical product qualifications. This is a multiskilled role that requires candidates to have a strong grasp of mechanical assembly, pressure testing and data gathering through electrical instrumentation
Requirements:
* Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications
* Assemble products in accordance with applicable drawings and any specific assembly procedures
* Undertake hydro and gas pressure testing activities in accordance with industry and guidelines
* Ability to recognise, solve and implement required changes for assembly and testing related challenges
* Proficient in the use of measurement/gauging equipment and processes
* Calibrate and work with instrumentation equipment such as pressure transducers, leak detection manometers and thermocouples during the testing process
* Ensure work area is maintained in a safe and proper condition through correct handling and storage of equipment and tools
* To work in a safe and environmentally friendly manner giving due care and diligence to his/her colleagues and work place
* Provide coaching to other technicians in areas of proven competence
Desired characteristics:
* Experience in hydro, gas and hydraulic pressure testing
* Experience in mechanical inspection, measurement and assembly
* Familiarity with the use of instrumentation and data acquisition systems
* Strong computer skills and the ability to present data and test findings via MS Excel and Powerpoint
