Role Title: Storage NAS SME
Duration: contract to run until 30/09/2026
Location: Sheffield, Hybrid 3 days per week onsite
Rate: up to £377.20 p/d Umbrella inside IR35
Role purpose / summary
Strong File storage and virtualisation knowledge, provisioning and migration knowledge
Strong knowledge in File hardware installation and configuration
Own the design, operation, and migration of enterprise NAS platforms (e.g., NetApp, Isilon/PowerScale) delivering NFS/SMB services for containerised and traditional workloads.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engineer and secure NFS/SMB shares, quotas, snapshots, and replication.
- Integrate NAS with OpenShift via CSI drivers and automate provisioning.
- Plan and execute data migrations and performance tuning.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Deep experience with NetApp/Isilon or equivalent.
- Strong TCP/IP, AD/LDAP, Kerberos, and Linux skills.
- Scripting/automation (Ansible/Python) preferred.
