Experis is recruiting for an SC Cleared SQL DBA for an initial 6 month contract working 90% remotely. The successful candidate will have strong SQL server knowledge and will have used their SC clearance within the last 12 months

Length: 6 months
Rate: £639 (via umbrella)
Location: hybrid (90% remote 10% Farnborough)
Note: Active SC Clearance required (used within the last 12 months)
Job Specification
Position will be utilised to support and backfill the current Tier 3 Delivery team in delivering database focused solutions. This will include direct involvement in ongoing or new deliverables predominantly focussed on SQL deployments. Technologies and experience required listed below.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Extensive, demonstrable knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server systems management and development
- Extensive familiarity with data management principals and best practices to ensure performance and consistency
- Excellent knowledge in database installation, migration and configuration
- Demonstrable experience of high availability features
- Detailed understanding of query optimisation and performance tuning techniques
- Knowledge of implementing solutions with robust recovery plans
- Familiarity with Microsoft T-SQL
- Experience in Microsoft Data Platform and other cloud or edge computing focused environments
- Microsoft SQL Server Reporting / Analysis / Integration Services
- Knowledge across Windows Server 2012 - 2019 operating system versions
- Familiarity with database automation technologies
- Experience in capacity planning and performance tuning
- Experience in full development and project life cycles
- Security Clearance (SC) to be held and maintained during engagement
