Solutions Architect - Business Applications
6 Month Contract
Based in Sunbury on Thames, Surrey
Day rate up to £510PD Via Umbrella
- Establish and maintain the overall architecture framework to guide the design of the business applications and the implementation of infrastructures
- Identify program-wide development initiatives, advising program management of opportunities to develop enabling technologies either within the context of existing projects, or as separate enabling projects
- Provide continuous guidance to projects throughout each project lifecycle, including assisting with project initiation activities to ensure that suitable resources are identified for activities
- Perform critical evaluation and selection of the software and hardware components of the applications to ensure solutions are deployable at scale with required performance and security
- Provide technical input into the program for performing architectural reviews of projects
- Identify alternatives where solutions proposed by projects involve unacceptable technical risk or introduce or perpetuate non-strategic technology
- Identify new technologies likely to be valuable to the program ('horizon scanning) research and analyse these and other potential improvements to the architecture framework
- Establish a single point of contact for all interactions between projects and IT, including Solution Architecture, Digital Security, and Global Operations etc
- Communicate the architecture framework and processes to all stakeholders.
Experience
Previous experience securing non-traditional technologies eg: IoT, robotics, AI/ML, blockchain
