Job Description: As a solution designer you will have experience with creating High Level Designs(HLD)using variety of technologies. Proven technical background at a senior level. You will be expected to develop options and recommendations for information technology designs and solutions to meet business requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
* Review, interpret and respond to detailed user stories/ business requirements specifications to ensure alignment between customer expectations and current or future
* Consult SMEs and all other stakeholders and produce the HLD as per requirements
* Define and design technology solutions to assist the business in meeting their business objectives including technology solutions and changes to service, process and/or operating models
* Design and support projects from inception through functional analysis of user stories/ requirements, the approval process for business case development, project execution and operational handover to align technological solutions processes and systems to meet emerging business requirements
* Drive the completed design through the various governance gates and creating any additional artifacts
Technical Skills & Competencies
* Solution Design experience involving cloud/on prem and multiple systems
* Security focused design that adhere to industry and highly regulated financial environment security standards
* Ability to effectively collaborate with business customers, engineering teams, security consultants, and other project stakeholders
* Ability to provide detailed infrastructure designs to industry best practices for solutions hosted in Public / Private Cloud and using SaaS type solutions
* Good knowledge of best practices within infrastructure design, cloud and hosted solutions
* Advanced skills in producing diagrams and design documentation
Desirable:
* Previous experience in the financial sector
* Barclays experience
* Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a related discipline
* Desirable relevant certifications such as Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or AWS Certified Security
* Desirable experience with Active Directory security All profiles will be reviewed against the required skills and experience.
