Our client, a market leading multi-national technology consultancy are looking for a Service Transition Manager, to join them on a customer-based project based in Telford/Remote. The assignment is an initial 6-month contract and can offer a competitive daily rate via Umbrella
Role:
IT service transition management provides overall planning for service transitions and coordinates the resources that are require. They control the lifecycle of all changes, enabling beneficial changes to be made with minimum disruption to IT services. They also ensure the effective and smooth transition of IT services and processes to maintain business as usual operations (BAU). * Planning, scheduling and coordination of resources to enable the effective transition for new IT services or products within the organization to enable business as usual (BAU) operation. * Managing and defining new product or service acceptance criteria with stakeholders. * Product and service evaluation and acceptance. * Management of IT service changes. * Development of documentation in-line with service
Essential skills and experience
Experience and a proven track record in managing projects
Experience of agile delivery
Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and associated software tools
Able to analyse and assess impact, develops and documents change requests.
Implements changes based on requests for change.
