Government Service Designer-Remote-6 months

Role: Government Service Designer

Location: Remote

Duration: 6 months

Our client, a market leading multi-national technology consultancy are looking for a Government Service Designer, to join them on a customer-based project based Remote. The assignment is an initial 6-month contract and can offer a competitive daily rate via Umbrella Role.

Essential skills and experience:

Responsibility

  • Experience working with the UK Government - delivering within the Government Service Standard and participating in GDS assessments
  • Evidence-and context-based design. You can visualise, articulate and solve complex problems and concepts, and make disciplined decisions based on available information and research evidence
  • Experience working within constraints, including technology, policy, regulatory and legal constraints
  • You can apply technical knowledge and experience to create or design workable prototypes using the GDS design system
  • Demonstrable domain knowledge of UK Government Departments and Policy
  • Adept at providing simple, clear design to communicate complex issues
  • Ability to get to the heart of an issue quickly and clearly, demonstrating expert knowledge in an applied setting
  • Minimum, 3 years of industry experience within a service designer role. Preferably working for a consulting firm or agency
  • Experience working within an Agile team within a commercial environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams, multi-vendor teams
