Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Product Designer, you will:

• Work alongside and under the guidance of a Design Principal and other members of your design squad, following SAFe, Lean and Agile product design methodologies
• Follow best practice and relevant design methodologies and processes, working across all stages of the product lifecycle from discovery, through define and to build
• Create new and innovative design solutions that address the very particular needs of our users
• Refine and improve existing designs
• Follow the use of, and contribute to our Design System.
• Develop a deep understanding of our users, their needs, behaviours, desires, and bring that insight into the heart of all designs
• Work on issues of a diverse scope where analysis of situations requires skills and understanding of current industry trends
• Drive significant projects, programs and business initiatives, demonstrating creativity and ingenuity
• Identify work priorities based on general direction from managers
• Provide specialist advice to middle and senior management to resolve complex issues
• Demonstrate clear prioritisation and planning for activities to ensure timely delivery

About you

As a Senior Product Designer, you will:

• Demonstrable experience in a similar role and able to show evidence of how brand affects the approach to product design
• Passion for a clean and purposeful design
• The ability to translate high-level product requirements into experiences that our users deserve
• Comfortable with embracing our design system in everything you do, both using and contributing to its evolution and ideally have experience designing or defining design systems
• Strong design, collaboration and communication skills with evidence of guiding as a senior designer and also able to contribute at a team level
• A degree in a relevant subject, or can show how you've built up your experience and skills over time 'on-the-job'
• Knowledge of professional financial design is a bonus, but you will be able to demonstrate hands-on experience of crafting successful user experiences that met business and user needs for complex domains

Your experience

7+ years experience
Proven track record (3+years) in working with complex product design/agile environments (not art directors, graphic designers)
Ability to work end-to-end from discovery through to delivery
Ability to work autonomously following a brief and take direction from design leads
Ability to work well with the design system and existing patterns as their first point of call in solution design
Ability to push back and ask 'why'
Ability to balance pragmatism and purism
Ability to work in an immature agile environment
Ability to liaise and build great relationships with multiple mangers
Delivering clear updates to management on progress and blockers to design leads
Good Stakeholder management
Used to working in fast paced delivery environments
Great communication skills
Work collaboratively with cross functional team
Ability to work with remote teams
Ability to work with or quickly adapt to using Figma as our tool
Ability to work with collaboration tools such as FigJam and LucidSpark
Ability to create flow diagrams with Figma or Lucid
