Role Purpose:
Our client requires an experienced Senior Accessibility Consultant to join a team delivering new Services as part of their ongoing programme of change and transformation within their critical national infrastructure delivery portfolio. They should be experienced in operating in a complex multi-vendor environment.
Essential Candidate Skills and Experience:
- Assessing and analysing a situation to make informed, practical and evidence-based recommendations that will avoid or resolve accessibility and inclusion issues, and contribute to the development of policies and standards
- Using expert knowledge to understand and explain the ways people who have access needs or a digitally excluded need to use services and things that help/hinder them
- Interpreting the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and other good practices, and applying them to web pages and other formats such as apps and electronic/printed documents
- Creating and executing plans for testing services for compliance with accessibility standards using manual testing, automated tools, and assistive technology on a range of devices
