Job Description:

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Data Migration Lead to oversee the end-to-end data migration workstream for a Greenfield SAP S/4HANA implementation. This role is pivotal in transitioning legacy systems to SAP using tools such as SAP Data Services and SAP Migration Cockpit. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in the data migration lifecycle and full project delivery, with strong leadership and communication skills.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Data Migration Workstream across all phases of the project, from planning through execution and go-live.
  • Manage and mentor a team of developers, providing technical guidance and support where needed.
  • Plan and coordinate migration activities, including defect resolution, cutover planning, and data validation.
  • Conduct data workshops with business and functional teams to gather requirements and align on data strategy.
  • Review and contribute to technical documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Analyze source datasets to identify data quality issues and transformation requirements.
  • Collaborate with SAP functional teams and business data stewards to advise on data cleansing, enrichment, and governance.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, translating complex data and SAP concepts into clear, actionable insights.


Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience leading data migration for SAP S/4HANA Greenfield projects.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of SAP Data Services and SAP Migration Cockpit.
  • Deep understanding of the data migration lifecycle, including planning, mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
  • Ability to mentor technical teams, suggest solutions, and step in to support development tasks when necessary.
  • Experience in running data workshops, engaging with both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and drive data quality improvements.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences.
