We are looking for a PURIFICATION DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER - DOWNSTREAM APPLICATIONS to work with our expert Membrane Chromatography Development team with employees across the world. What you'll do

  • This role will be in the Downstream team testing novel materials from Chemistry and novel unit designs from engineering.

  • Write reports and interrogate data generated from various analytical methods.

  • Work closely with a cross-disciplinary R&D team of Biologists, Chemists, Engineers and Material Scientists to support process development activities.

  • Provide support to ensure laboratory compliance to Environment Health & Safety regulations

  • Be responsible for balancing workload from multiple projects.

  • Prepare and present data internally in the form of presentations, technical reports, memos and eLNs.

Who you are

  • Hold a bioscience-based degree BSc or MSc (Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biochemical Engineering or similar)

  • Understanding of basic principles of chromatography

  • Confident participating in teams within a matrix environment

  • Confident in molarity calculations and conversions across metric scales

  • Organised, self-starting, innovative, collaborative and hardworking
