Project Manager - International Logistics - London - 9 months

The pay rate on offer is £500-£550 per day and the duration of the contract is 9 months.

This role is working for an iconic, multinational high-street retailer.

The role sits within their International unit, and knowledge/experience with International Logistics is preferred.

The purpose of the role is to manage International Logistics projects in line with the agreed milestones, budget and risk tolerances.

Key accountabilities and measures

  • Deliver key International Logistics projects through project life cycle to pre-agreed time, quality and cost targets
  • Develop business cases where necessary including the operational and financial analysis to back up the thinking and recommendations
  • Data analysis to support network solution design
  • Work with operational teams to ensure network and depot solution design is optimal and meets the end to end business requirements
  • Management of project governance controls as necessary
  • Develop and work to project delivery plans ensuring wider stakeholder buy in and compliance
  • Create and manage project budgets
  • Facilitate decision making to ensure critical path is kept
  • Identification, monitoring and managing of project risks, including working with key stakeholders to agree mitigation strategies and escalations where necessary
  • Support wider International Supply Chain team members with project management support and advice where necessary
  • Ensure all key learnings are captured to inform other projects

Key skills

  • Experience of programme and or project management
  • Hold a current Project / Programme Management qualification (e.g PRINCE 2 / MSP)
  • Relevant experience in Logistics transformation / programme management
  • Experience in International Logistics is preferred
  • Experience of working with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Ability to bring together a cross functional team behind a common goal and agreed group priorities
  • Project risk & issue management
  • Experience is developing and driving project plans
  • Data analysis to support business case creation and operational solution design
  • Ability to review complex scenarios and create clarity for project team and stakeholders
