Product Manager for EV Home Charging - German Speaking
6 Month Contract
Based in Central London - 3 Days in office 2 Days from home
Day rate up to £550PD Via Umbrella

The Product Manager for EV Home Charging Germany market entry will focus on three main tasks for the next 6-12 months:

  • Define the Germany Home Charging Product Requirements in line with the German Go To Market strategy and deliver the committed digital products based on scalability from UK IT systems where possible to ensure business strategy is met.
  • Manage the German Home Charging Product Backlog and prioritization from an end to end perspective and liaise with the development squads per system to ensure consistent delivery and clear understanding and implementation of German requirements.
  • Continuous enhancement of product roadmap based on German customers feedback fed into product development stage and ongoing improvements after go live, including liaising with local customers to ensure their voice is heard and imperative for our products to be LOVED.
  • The successful candidate will be supported by the electrification development arm, the central electrification hub as well as the Germany Home Charge team leader as needed.

The Home Charging Product Manager Germany will align with the Electrification Global Product Manager, the German Home Charging Business team leader and the rest of the Product Management team to adopt a good WoW, tools and Governance approach to enable fast market entry and meeting the needs of the German customers.

Key accountabilities are:

  • Review and refine global IT Systems requirements based on German country-specific adjustment needs.
  • Evaluate the validity or the need for change against the background of German local market conditions.
  • Represent German business requirements in the context of a global IT Systems development.
  • Maintain and Update ADO User stories for digital delivery implementation.
  • Ensure product development and decisions are made based on data/insights by putting the customer always at the centre.
  • Develop and execute German EV Home Charging products with the dev and product teams by reusing, where possible, the available Home Charging structures from existing business in the UK.
  • Key contact with business to gather requirements and align product development with business needs (OKRs)
  • Define end to end customer journey and processes for Home Charging with the Product Teams and Business Analyst for Germany.

Mandatory: German (preferred as native language) and English (Fluent)


  • Excellent university degree in business administration, computer science, engineering or comparable education.
  • Certifications in agile and product management (mandatory). Preferred: PSPO (Professional Scrum Product Owner), PMI-ACP
  • Preferred: MBA

Experience needed

  • Proven and successful experience in the execution of Digital Product Development and product roadmaps delivery including launching new products and continuous feature delivery to enhance customer experience and drive business results (B2C experience preferred)
  • Expert in customer and product centric design methods and taking concepts from ideation through to execution
  • Proven and successful experience in adopting Agile practices and operating Scrum framework
  • Highly competent in working with scrum teams
  • Proven ability to interact with multiple functions within an organisation to delivery goals, and more broadly, with the functions in the group that are working in the space of product, digital, mobility and/or electrification
  • Proven and successful in managing joint projects with partners and 3rd party suppliers
  • Proven track record of performing in high-intensity environments, operating within tight resources and meeting challenging deadlines
  • Self-starter mentality with drive and motivation whilst also being an exceptional communicator who works well within a multidisciplinary team, bringing colleagues with them on a journey
  • Positive personality, with energetic communication style and strong resilience
  • Good balance of structured/holistic thinking with fast moving and pragmatic execution
