Platform Engineer - DevOps Specialist
The key attributes of the FinOps Specialist role are as follows:
Responsibilities:
1. Co-developing programme and organisational FinOps best practices, aligning to Public Cloud Team and end client Financial management strategies
2. Leading experiments from a FinOps best practice perspective that result in definition of:
§ Account structure
§ Tagging strategy
§ Cost management processes
§ Usage data analysis tooling
§ Establishing guardrails
3. FinOps Training and Education in the end client DevOps and Tenants Teams.
Knowledge & Skills:
* Previous experience of deploying or managing AWS cost optimisation services for software companies, working directly with customers to proactively optimize their deployment, find cost savings, and educate stakeholders on cloud best practices.
* Past experience supporting migrations to the cloud in a customer facing role would be advantageous
Key Technical Skills
Technical: Terraform, Prometheus/Grafana, AWS, CloudWatch
Cost management skills essential.
