My Glasgow based client, who are a multinational media company, are looking for a PHP Developer to come in during an exciting period of growth to work on a series of new projects. Working closely with other developers, designers and different members of the wider project team, this role will see you delivering on projects for some of the biggest household names globally! This position offers fantastic career growth, with you going on to support junior members of staff and leading on projects.

Due to the collaboration this role will demand, you will need to be a self-starter who can effectively contribute to team meetings and sprint sessions.

Joining a relatively small development team, you will have a real chance to make an impact and contribute to projects and products that will be seen by over a million people worldwide.

In order to be considered for this fantastic opportunity you must have:

  • 5+ years experience working as a PHP Developer
  • Educated to degree level in an IT/Computer Science related degree
  • Strong experience with Symfony (ideally 3+ years - however experience with other modern PHP frameworks such as Laravel/Zend will also be considered)
  • Relational database design experience - with strong SQL skills
  • Experience with front end technologies/build systems such as HTML, CSS, Javascript/jQuery, Gulp and Grunt

It would be desirable, though not essential for you to have experience with:

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Docker
  • Behat
  • Microservices
