Order Comms - Configuration Lead - ICE - Mainly Remote role
Our client a large NHS trust who are involved in a project to merge their ICE order communications system with 3 other trusts require a Order Comms Configuration Lead to work with the PAC's managers to support the deployment.
The ICE (Integrated Clinical Environment) system is an online requesting tool for clinicians to request imaging/ pathology tests directly to each departments information systems, which dispenses the need for paper request forms.
The trust and supplier with provide training on the new ICE solution. The training will focus on configuring the front and back ends of ICE and CRIS and will ensure you are able to extensively test the final, you will be expected to analyse both ICE systems, identify differences and present these to clinical leads, modality leads and management, who will then decide how best to align the design of both systems.
The successful applicant will be comfortable chairing meetings with key stake holders across all trust sites to discuss design, as well as implementing the design in the newly provided ICE system and testing integration with CRIS and trust clinical portals.
This role will regularly liaise with:
- The enterprise ICE project team
- ICE development team
- Radiology Management
- Radiologists
- Modality leads
Regarding:
- User Roles within the ICE system
- Requesting questions/question panels (known as Rules/Rule Panels)
- Status codes
- Sample collection
- Exam Urgency
- Request Pages and Panels
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Communication
- To meet regularly with key stakeholders including Radiology Management, modality and clinical leads to discuss design
- To meet regularly with PACS leads to discuss testing of the system
- To discuss design and configuration issues with vendors
Service Delivery and Improvement
- To document all configuration of both outgoing ICE systems and identify any inconsistencies between them.
- To document all rules and rules panels in each ICE system and present to clinical leads and heads of department for evaluation and discussion
- To document all decisions made and create designs based on discussions
- To input and test all new designs
- To discuss any issues identified in testing with the relevant product developers
This role is inside of IR35
