ROLE: INFRASTRUCTURE ARCHITECT
LOCATION: LONDON (REMOTE/ HYBRID 1 TO 2 DAYS A MONTH)
SALARY: 85K to 96K (SKILLSET DEPENDENT)

JOB DESCRIPTION:
· In this role, you will be an SME in networks; able to define, validate, and provide solutions for projects and stakeholder requirements. You will take responsibility for ensuring solutions are resilient, robust and secure, whilst also developing standards and guidance for the adoption of cloud services.
· You will work with product teams, DevOps and SysOps engineers to assist with designing & building out the network infrastructure. Providing governance and oversight, whilst monitoring systems and providing proactive performance and cost optimisation support.
· You will have responsibility of reviewing and supporting the testing of changes to networks, hosted systems & cloud configuration changes and you will perform reviews of deployed infrastructure solutions to ensure that best practices are adopted. This will also include creating design documentation (Low Level Design-LLD, High Level Design-HLD), best practice documentation on the network element of designs, transitions and implementations.
KEY SKILLS REQUIRED
· A demonstrable in-depth expertise in network design, particularly across IT infrastructure environments
· Previous design experience of LAN, WAN and broad experience on a range of Firewalls (including Cisco, Fortigate, CheckPoint and Palo Alto) are critical, as is experience writing both HLD & LLD
· A solid background in Network Architecture writing both High Level and Low Level Network Designs using a range of multi-vendor technologies
· Previous knowledge of networking best practices for cloud (ideally AWS), including automating different frameworks such as terraform, ansible, json REST API and PowerShell
· An expert knowledge of troubleshooting including experience using vRealise product suite and using automation tools such as VMware Federation, vRealise Automation, Global Manager and SDDC Manager
· A deep understanding and subject matter expertise in Switches, Routers, Firewalls, Change Control, Implementation
QUALIFICATIONS
· Degree level qualification or equivalent
· AWS certified architect professional / AWS Infrastructure architect
· Networking certifications
