Mechanical Design Engineer (Solidworks 3D CAD)

We are actively looking to secure a Mechanical Design Engineer to join Experis as one of our expert consultants, delivering services to our clients.

The Role
Our client is looking for an experience Mechanical Design Engineer with an ability to work on multiple projects, to ensure that cosmetic and performance standards are met to a high standard.
Key Tasks
Key tasks include:
Optimising components, troubleshooting technical design issues and facilitating production using the latest CAD simulation tools and systems.
Working with multifaceted teams, engineers and designers to bring the next generation of products to life.
Key Skills
To succeed in this role, you should have:
An ability to use CAD package (Solidworks 3D CAD) to create fast and robust designs, transforming them into verified and detailed products.
Specialist knowledge of Design for Manufacture (DFM) and design for injection moulded components
A solid understanding of common manufacturing methods.
Hands-on experience of design for mass manufacture.
Key engineer or project management in product development.
Full product lifecycle development experience from design to manufacture and in-life support.
Desirable Skills
Knowledge of Advanced Injection Moulding including cosmetics, cycletimes, troubleshooting and optimisation.
Six Sigma Green Belt and above
Experience of designing products with RF/Wi-Fi/Bluetooth, audio or visual (imaging).
Computational Simulation experience such as mouldflow, thermal, light and acoustics
Eco Design principles and packaging design
Mandatory Language skills:
You should have excellent oral and written English skills.
Desirable language skills:
Polish
Mandarin
