The location of the role is London / remote (2 days in the Paddington office per week).

The pay rate on offer is £300 - £350 per day.

The duration of the role is 6 months.

The client is an iconic, multinational high-street retailer, and the role sits within their Bank.


The client is going through a period of great transformation currently, and that includes what we offer to our customers in Bank and Services.

The primary purpose of this role is to support our Senior Manager through deploying various marketing mix levers to always deliver on, launch and campaign activities through both owned and paid channels to ensure we meet our key business KPI's across the respective product lines.

This role suits a marketing manager with strong through the line marketing experience, and ideally a background in either Retail, Financial Services or Telco industries.

Key accountabilities:

  • Support the Senior Marketing Manager to develop strategy and deliver plans for the area.
  • Ensure key business objectives are met (acquisition, upsell, usage/spend) via deploying effective marketing strategies and levers.
  • Deliver at pace plans to support new product and proposition launches through designing and delivering effective marketing campaigns across key channels to meet key business targets.
  • Work closely with the M&S Retail team and partners (where relevant), to ensure the requisite engagement, support, approvals, and scheduling of activities takes place across key channels.
  • Translate marketing briefs into successful campaigns, agreeing objectives with key stakeholders and developing success metrics, through to campaign workflow, design and delivery.
  • Generate and communicate creative briefs to design and media agencies and internal departments in the business.
  • Monitor and report campaign results, providing insightful analysis for future campaigns / activity.
  • Work with the insights team to test creative / products against core customer groups.
  • Work closely with Bank & Services Partners, fostering the relationship and working with legal and regulatory teams to ensure marketing is compliant.

Key experience

  • You have experience across the full marketing mix - through the line experience is critical, and strong digital marketing expertise desired.
  • You have strong product and campaign marketing skill set and experience across both store and digital channels, with proven successes.
  • You have marketing strategy and planning expertise, which is demonstrable.
  • You are tenacious and resilient and can shine in an environment that requires strong planning and organisational skills.
  • You possess a proven track record of building and maintaining great business internal and external relationships - there are many elements of marketing within the business that straddle various business units or require working with agencies, and partners.
  • You have marketing experience within Retail, Financial Services or Telco Industries.
  • You are highly creative and enjoy working in high energy, faced paced organisation.
  • You have the ability to manage multiple products and campaigns simultaneously.
  • You have strong agency briefing skills and excellent written and verbal communications.
