Role Description:

The requirement for this role stems from a critical need within the company to enhance and streamline the transition of services as part of a major project initiative. As the comppany continues to modernise and improve its operational capabilities, service transition plays a pivotal role in ensuring new services and changes are smoothly integrated into our live environment. This is crucial to maintaining our commitment to safety, efficiency, and responsiveness. The stakeholders involved are highly invested in ensuring the selected candidate can deliver significant value, particularly in terms of risk management and stakeholder engagement across various projects. The successful fulfilment of this role is essential for meeting our strategic objectives and project timelines.

We are specifically seeking a Lead Service Transition Manager who can offer not only technical expertise but also deliver significant social value to the organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that key performance indicators (KPIs) are defined as well as exploring Customer Experience throughout the transition process, measures such as the successful deployment of services on time, minimal disruption to live operations, and the effective management of change and risk.

We require demonstrable experience in leading service transitions within complex environments. The candidate should also hold relevant certifications, such as ITIL 3/4, and have a strong track record in risk and change management.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the entire service transition lifecycle in line with best practices and methodologies such as ITIL, Agile, Waterfall, and DevOps.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure that service transitions meet business requirements and are delivered on schedule.
  • Providing leadership in managing change and risk associated with the introduction of new services.

What is excluded:

  • This role will not involve day-to-day operational service management but will focus solely on the transition of services. Operational support will be provided by a separate team.
