Lead Enterprise Architect
Location: London hybrid 2-3 days on site
Contract length: 9 months
Pay: up to £
675 umbrella (inside IR35)

Responsibilities

  • Identify Enterprise Value in projects and drive consensus to balance creation of enterprise assets
  • Participate in relevant external standards organizations, industry groups, panels
  • Consult with infrastructure project teams to fit infrastructure to architecture
  • Lead the creation of coalesced views of business capabilities and technology capabilities
  • Champion ideas which improve technology value delivery
  • Work directly with project development teams to enable successful project implementation on the platform
  • Participate as appropriate with the opportunity assessment process used to evaluate new business opportunities new technologies
  • Act as design authority and provide an assurance role, ensuring that all architecture activities and deliverables (in-house and external outsourced) are produced to a high quality and are consistent with existing standards, policies and strategies
  • Lead the architecture and enabling technologies strategy for core banking domain
  • Responsible for the definition, design and interpretation of technical architectures artefacts taken from user requirements specifications or in direct discussions with the business, to create a solutions architecture to meet business requirements.
  • Responsible for overall architecture including but not limited to functional, technical, integration, data, security, infrastructure.

  • Demonstrate out-of-the-box thinking and innovation for enterprise solutions (focus on customer impact/experience, responsive design, data management & analytics )
  • Participate as appropriate with the opportunity assessment process used to evaluate new business opportunities new technologies
  • Extended knowledge and experience in in retail and corporate banking
  • Experience in leading core banking transformation programmes
  • Ability to define solution for enterprise and have a vision to do big bang, strangled modernisation and transformation
  • Understanding of security and infrastructure patterns
  • Understanding of APIs and Events patterns and ability to give directions for implementations
  • Outstanding presentation skills to support strategy socialisation
  • Senior Stakeholder Management Deliver deep industry insights to the Customer based on forward thinking of current industry trends and the likely disintermediation of current "rules of the game" by new entrants to the Retail industry
  • Capable of establishing a trusted relationship with the business and be a liaison between business and IT folks
  • Understand how technology, processes, people and data fit together in delivering business outcomes
  • Understanding of regulatory framework for retail and corporate mapping
  • Excellent problem resolution and people management skills
  • Ability to setup and run design governance forums
  • Define the target architectures, and the roadmaps and timescales for these architectures to ensure the most effective use of technology
  • To take a lead role in the full life cycle delivery of the technical solutions for Business projects from initial concept, requirements gathering, specification, design, delivery, acceptance and in to operational support
