Our client, a market leading multi-national technology consultancy are looking for Lead Deployment Engineer (Migration) to join them on a customer-based project based Knutsford. The assignment is an initial 6-month contract and can offer a competitive daily rate via Umbrella.
Key Accountabilities
* Actively manage application migrations to the e-BVP platform, thereby achieving tech debt remediation targets of the programme. Report to the Migrations Lead, and support the Programme Manager in programme execution.
* Plans and co-ordinates activities to manage and implement multiple parallel workstreams within the e-BVP programme including requirement gathering, technical delivery of migrations from legacy to e-BVP and handover to operational teams.
* Work closely with programme leads, product owners, BU technology and business teams to develop application migrations roadmap, strategy and patterns for migration of applications from legacy DMZ/ e-channels environment to the e-BVP platform and execute on the roadmap and strategy.
* Works closely with stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient implementation of delivery outcomes and benefits.
* Anticipate issues and delays, and evaluate trade-offs between sub-project size and complexity, cost, urgency, risk, and stakeholder value, effectively assessing and resolving high priority risks.
* Supports Product Owners in building and maturing the e-BVP platform service offering, leverage and drive adoption of automation thereby driving benefits of the programme

Person Specification
Experienced Delivery Manager who is a motivated, supportive, self-starter who listens to questions and requests, identifies the key issues, and responds with quality outputs solving the stated and implied requirement. Articulate and persuasive communicator with excellent written and verbal communication.
Must have in depth knowledge of aspects of delivery and strong awareness of Networking and Virtualization technologies and concepts, and led business change/ application migrations programmes previously.
Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:
* Proven track record as a Delivery/ Migrations Manager in financial services;
* Experience leading the delivery of application migrations/ technology and business change and adoption within an organisation using Agile methodologies;
* Self-starter with a highly proactive and positive approach to delivery;
* Experience in the management of senior stakeholders, product owners and technical team members;
* Strong written and spoken communication and reporting skills.
* Strong awareness of Networking and Virtualization technologies and concepts.
Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:
* Knowledge of Clients change management, control tools and release systems (incl. LCT)
* Knowledge of financial services technology and policies;
* Broad knowledge of group operating structure, business units, functions and their purpose/scope;
* Application migration (technology and business change adoption) experience in an Enterprise Environment.;
* PRINCE2 Foundation / PRINCE2 Practitioner (or equivalents);
