They are now seeking an organized, enthusiastic, and self‑motivated Laboratory Technician (Materials Development) to join their dynamic, international Materials Science team. What you'll do

  • Work closely with Materials Scientists, Chemists, Engineers, and Biologists on activities such as materials analysis and membrane fabrication
  • Perform routine and one-off laboratory testing including Raman Spectroscopy, SEM, porometry, FT‑IR, BET, and dry weight analysis
  • Support technical activities in the materials development lab, including polymer solution preparation, electrospinning, and lamination
  • Maintain detailed laboratory notes and accurately document and report results
  • Uphold excellent housekeeping practices and follow Laboratory Health & Safety standards
  • Assist with lab management tasks: ordering, restocking, inventory management, and coordinating deliveries between sites
  • Document and arrange safe disposal of laboratory waste
  • Communicate effectively and ensure accuracy in test results and data reporting

Who you are

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline with at least 3 months' laboratory experience, OR Science A‑levels (or equivalent) with minimum 2 years' laboratory experience
  • Awareness of membrane fabrication techniques (training provided if needed)
  • Experience with one or more analytical methods listed above is an advantage
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent teamwork, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized, with strong prioritisation skills and the ability to multitask effectively
