Java software engineer

Travel: flexibility to travel across the UK up to 2-3 days a week (Travel allowance and travel expenses paid)

Your Role and Responsibilities
As a java software engineer with this innovative consultancy you will have the opportunity to use some of the latest cutting edge tool and technology available and you will be at the forefront of a new future in developing. You will be able to design, develop and customize systems in agile environments and transfer the businesses and projects desires in to code and drive innovation. You will work with various projects and clients, working towards client specifications. Your role will involve:

Development for specific systems on a range of platforms including Linux, Microsoft and various mobile environments

  • Working within the entire development life-cycle including design, build, and coding
  • Using object-oriented programming languages and tools to deliver a range of solutions


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience across full SDLC programming in Java, preferably Java 8
  • Previous experience working with Java frameworks such as Spring, Springboot, Hibernate or similar


Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience of full stack development such as React, Angular, or Node.JS
  • Experience delivery methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall
  • Experience of working with web or cloud based services - e.g. RESTful
  • Understanding of integration principles - e.g. advanced message queueing.
