IT Technical Lead

We have an opening for an IT technical lead to join a technology team responsible for delivering IT and application changes within a global asset management organisation.
Our client needs someone with a real technical focus to work alongside the PM, particularly around the migration of data away from the current source.
OBJECTIVE:
Organise migration of software (and data) to third-party; Organise implementation of IT and software changes; Organise adoption of operating model for applications and IT services.
ROLE SUMMARY:
The role will primarily be working on a project to deliver changes to complete IT separation between two organisations. It will be joining a project already in-flight with some aspects already delivered / agreed, but still with a number of IT changes needing to be defined / planned in details. The project spans across many different functions, from migration of investment / finance applications, adoption of new operating model for asset management, management of shared folder data / email boxes, personal computing equipment, HR, physical security, etc. This role will be responsible for organisating the IT elements, but may also be exposed to other related topics, and will be feeding into the overall plan managed by a project manager. There may also be the opportunity to get involved with another multi-year digital transformation programme to adopt advance data platforms, such as Data Lake and Snowflake.
Experience
Ideally, the successful candidate will have some experience as a Tech PM with basic understanding of investment management, although other similar backgrounds will be considered.
It is essential to have excellent communication skills, good level of technology insights, and appreciation of IT infrastructure / network - as the tech lead will be liaising with these teams, although the details will be delivered by relevant IT team / resource.
The tech lead will be expected to take ownership of IT delivery coordination shortly after joining and will be taking on the work that solution designer has produced to date. It is expected that the tech lead to also be able to work directly with business teams to validate requirements, present ideas, advice on best practice (with guidance from vendors / SMEs), etc. The tech lead will also be expected to comply with required governance and various administrative framework.
