Contract Opportunity: IT Support Engineer (1st-2nd Line)
Location: Leamington Spa (5 days per week on-site)
Start Date: Ideally between 3rd-10th November
Rate: £225-275 per day (Outside IR35)
We're looking for a hands-on IT Support Engineer to join a growing organisation in Leamington Spa. This is a full-time, on-site contract role supporting a busy office environment and internal systems.
You'll be the first point of contact for users, ensuring IT systems run smoothly and downtime is kept to a minimum. The role covers everything from hardware troubleshooting to basic server support and systems monitoring.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-user support across desktops, laptops, printers, mobiles, and networks
- Installing and configuring IT equipment
- Managing help desk tickets (low volume - <20/day)
- Supporting Windows servers, Microsoft 365, VMware, and Linux
- Assisting with onboarding and user account setup
- Monitoring systems and supporting building services (CCTV, heating, security)
Essential Skills:
- Microsoft 365 admin, Windows server support, and MS Office
- Basic networking knowledge (Wi-Fi, DHCP, DNS)
- PC hardware maintenance and troubleshooting
- Strong communication and a collaborative mindset
- Willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic environment
Desirable:
- Experience with VMware or other hypervisors
- Exposure to Linux environments
