Overview
We're looking for a contract IT Engineer with strong Azure and hybrid cloud experience, and hands-on exposure to Rubrik data protection, to support a complex enterprise environment.
This role sits within a wider Azure migration and modernisation programme, covering hybrid infrastructure, Microsoft 365, and backup & recovery. You'll operate as a hands-on engineer and technical SME, working closely with Cloud, Infrastructure, and Security teams.
Key Responsibilities
Support and optimise hybrid cloud infrastructure across on-prem and Microsoft Azure.
Configure, manage, and optimise Rubrik backup and recovery platforms.
Ensure protection of Azure workloads, virtualised environments, and Microsoft 365.
Own backup policies, SLAs, retention, immutability, and restore testing.
Respond to backup and recovery incidents, performing root cause analysis.
Support Azure migration and decommissioning activities.
Maintain clear technical documentation and handover materials.
Collaborate with cloud, security, and service teams in a regulated environment.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
Proven experience supporting hybrid cloud infrastructure.
Hands-on experience with Rubrik in a production environment.
Experience protecting Azure and Microsoft 365 workloads.
Solid understanding of backup, recovery, and disaster recovery principles.
Experience working in large-scale or enterprise environments.
