Job Title: Front End Web Developer (AEM)

Job Band: Contract (6 Months)

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

(The level of education and details of experience required, e.g. previous line management experience)

  • Extensive experience in AEM based projects (Min. 3 years of experience in AEM (or similar CMS platform)
  • Deep understanding of AEM underlying technology stack
  • Strong knowledge of Java and Web technologies (Min. 3+ years of experience in frontend development with strong programming skills in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, (ReactJS, Node, Good to have)
  • Familiarity with AEM on premise and as Cloud Service
  • Knowledge about web security
  • Strong capacity to identify requirements and define technical solutions
  • Knowledge of how to improve and build new features based on business requirements and best practices in front-end architecture, including performance optimisation, accessibility, and usability
  • Excellent knowledge of browser troubleshooting and debugging practices and techniques
  • Experience in optimizing digital web journeys with data-driven insight.

Bonus points

  • Knowledgeable of SEO best practices and digital funnels optimisation
  • Experience in data tracking and analytics.

Interest in developing digital marketing technologies.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement AEM CMS components and new features based on business requirements
  • Code new web pages based on UI/UX design that translate into excellent user experience
  • Helping to define test automation frameworks for web development
  • Support with AEM page content creation and maintenance
  • Provide ongoing guidance, training, and support for AEM authors / content editors
  • Continuously optimise our page performance by analysing data to fix errors and improve user experience
  • Implementation of new marketing solutions on our website e.g., web tracking, analytics elements etc.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB

We are looking for an experienced (AEM) Front End Web Developer to join the Marketing & Innovations team, to help us build our new e-commerce platform and best digital experiences for our audiences. As our front-end developer, you'll be part of the team responsible for taking our web presence to the next level.

Your primary responsibility in this role is to code the front-end of our new e-commerce platform and implement user-friendly digital user journeys that help us meet our business targets.

For the front-end, our CMS platform is Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). In this role you will be working closely with our HQ developers and also be responsible for implementing our requirements on behalf of the UK marketing teams.

We are looking for someone who knows how to develop the visual display of components in HTML/CSS/Javascript for use in AEM as a component, for incorporation into webpages. Also is familiar with working with pre-existing complex codebases and CMS systems of component based frameworks to implement into environments.

Working with our HQ you'll be developing the AEM platform following design specs/mock-up's, style guides and standards following Agile concepts throughout the development cycle.
