The duration of the role is 3 months.

The location of the role is Paddington, London (hybrid remote working).

The pay rate on offer is £400 - £425 per day.

The client is an iconic, multinational high-street retailer.

Summary

The business operates across 60 territories with 470 stores and over 100 websites covering Europe, Asia and the Middle East. It's an exciting time to join the International Team as it enters the growth phase of the transformation plan, including the development of an adaptable supply chain to improve our customer proposition, globally.

You'll be supporting the International logistics team in the strategic development of both cost effective and efficient routes to market, enabling growth across all our International channels.

You will also have accountability for the largest cost base within International and provide decision support to business partners on transformation investment proposals.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Building positive relationships and business partnering with the International supply chain leadership Team to support the delivery of the growth ambitions
  • Offering financial and commercial insight into the strategic direction of the International supply chain, advising and challenging the leadership team on matters beyond Finance
  • Providing a key link into the International Food and Clothing & Home teams ensuring overall strategy is fully aligned to improve omnichannel benefit
  • Leading Finance support in negotiating new and existing commercial agreements with 3rd party logistics providers
  • Providing financial analysis and appraisal of strategic growth projects and investment decisions as well as subsequent tracking of delivery against agreed measures
  • Taking overall responsibility of the International supply chain cost base, coordinating preparation of monthly management accounts and planning cycles
  • Preparing and presenting a monthly performance overview to International supply chain leadership Team, demonstrating an understanding of variances against key performance indicators and guiding discussion for deeper analysis

Key Skills:

  • Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with relevant supply chain experience in a high growth business
  • Excellent analytical skills, uses data in an effective way to provide insightful and value adding analysis
  • Can build positive relationships across multiple Teams (both Finance and non-Finance)
  • Challenges and influences business partners, presents information in an articulated way
  • Sound commercial Financial competence with a track record of guiding business partners through investment appraisals and providing decision support
  • A self-starter, uses initiative and works independently within a wider Team framework
  • Adapt and thrives in a changing and challenging environment, and works at pace and with urgency
  • Intermediate or advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
