Facility Planner
Permanent, Southend-On-Sea
A leading defence technology company are looking for a Facility Planner to be the single focal point for the co-ordination, effective planning, and scheduling of all trials, maintenance and investment activities across site.
What will I be doing?
Responsible to the Group Leader for the co-ordination, scheduling and forward planning of all Energetics Facilities activities
Maintain an accurate schedule on Microsoft Project to support the Energetics Planning teams to plan projects & maintenance, and provide forecasts locally
Maintain the accuracy of the Scheduling Tool to inform the wider community of the facility demand and capacity
Share any scheduling clashes that arise with the Programme community in a timely manner so that correct priority calls can be made with business priorities in mind
Facilitate the Energetics Delivery teams using the schedule to look ahead at their upcoming workload and translate into plans that deliver to schedule
Reactive to identifying all conflicts and informing appropriate stakeholders of the outcome
Be able to report capacity information and progress & achievement against agreed plans.
Requirements
Strong administration, oral and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and deal with the demands of a number of stakeholders.
Self-motivation, attention to detail and ability to work without local immediate supervision
The ability to navigate and use company management systems
Desirable Criteria:
Knowledge of Energetics operations and LTPA Range activities
General knowledge of Project and Business Management
General domain knowledge of ETC (Environmental Test Centre) Capabilities and processes
Planning and/or scheduling knowledge
