Our client, a reputable organisation, is hiring for a DV Cleared IT Engineer to join their team in Farnborough. This is an exciting opportunity to provide technical leadership and support across diverse IT projects, working closely with project managers and technical leads to deliver innovative solutions.
What you'll be doing:
* Lead small projects or project segments, managing technical teams to deliver solutions aligned with best practices.
* Engage with customers and stakeholders to ensure clear communication and successful delivery.
* Support all stages of the IT lifecycle-from design and implementation to testing, integration, and evaluation.
* Produce technical documentation, test plans, user guides, and design documents.
* Support hardware/software builds, system installation, and integration tasks.
* Contribute to process improvements and mentor junior colleagues.
* Provide technical advice during proposal phases and estimate effort for tasks.
What you'll bring:
* Proven ability to communicate complex technical information clearly.
* Experience working on a variety of engineering projects within IT.
* Strong motivation to resolve issues and deliver high-quality solutions.
* Ability to generate innovative ideas and challenge existing approaches.
* SME knowledge in your domain, with a track record of delivering quality technical outputs.
* Experience supporting and deploying Microsoft server and desktop products, including Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and Windows Server 2016+.
* Familiarity with infrastructure and services such as Anti-Virus, WSUS, backup/storage, Hyper-V, Linux, and related technologies.
* Supporting certifications such as Microsoft MCSA (or equivalent) and ITIL.
Qualifications & Experience:
* A first degree in Science or Engineering, or an equivalent professional qualification.
* Around 3-5 years of practical experience in IT engineering, with a proven record of achievement.
* Knowledge of market-relevant concepts and principles within IT.
