The location of the role is Paddington, London (hybrid remote working).

The duration of the contract is 6 months.

The pay rate on offer is £500 - £600 per day.

The client is a large, multinational high-street retailer.

Job Summary

The Corporate Communications are looking for a digitally savvy Content & Channels Manager to join the team in Waterside to inspire and engage their 70,000 colleagues.

We lead the field in digital communications - whether it's through our market-leading digital AGMs and results presentations to our LinkedIn Lives to our CommUnity that connects our colleagues we take pride in being better than the rest with our digital channels - innovating and getting our great store colleagues front and centre - and we've got a great brand and products that our colleagues love to shout about.

Key accountabilities

  • Overall accountability for our channel and content strategy for colleagues, also working closely with our external communications and Master brand teams so we are aligned across all audiences and channels.
  • Lead the Content Team, including our in-house videographer and graphic designer.
  • Bring new ideas and innovations into the team so we try new things and continue to lead the market.
  • Lead the end-to-end creation of our content including reviewing briefs, storyboarding, script writing, editing and publishing.
  • Work closely with the wider Colleague Communications team to build coordinated content plans which bring our business messages to life, and ensure consistency across the business.
  • Establish a content strategy for which type of messages and content formats (video, graphics, animation, imagery, copy) are most effective on which of our channels - both digital and traditional to maximise reach, encourage engagement and elicit action amongst our colleague population
  • Manage our relationships with external partners including creative agencies and third-party analytics solutions
  • Champion our brand guidelines to ensure we're all communicating consistently as one M&S family
  • Make data-led decisions and learn about new ways to measure impact to continuously improve our internal communications strategy and drive results

Experience

  • Outstanding copywriting and editing skills
  • Highly digitally literate person who keeps on top of key trends and innovations
  • Able to think creatively and develop innovative content that speaks to, and gains traction with, target audiences
  • A strong storyteller who is able to develop content for a variety of channels
  • Multi-media expertise and editing skills
