Renowned multinational are seeking the services of a Professional and Challenge Orientated Desktop Applications Analyst to elevate their Desktop function which is platformed toward a Microsoft ideal.

The Desktop & Applications Team provide ownership for the design, development, management, architecture, operation and full lifecycle of all Desktop Infrastructure including: SCCM, AD/GPO/GPP, Citrix, Client Desktop Engineering and Configuration, Client Patching and Desktop AV.

In addition, the Desktop Team also provide "Deep-Dive 3rd Line Support" across a number of "Legally Specific and Office 365 Suite of applications".

Essential Technical Skills required consist of:

  • Active Directory engineering skills including OU design, Group Policy Preferences, Group Policy Objects, DHCP, DNS, WINS, Domain Controller Management and Roles Management
  • O365 administrative experience and application support
  • Use of Microsoft SCCM for Microsoft/3rd Party Patching, Windows OS Desktop / Laptop Image creation, Application delivery
  • Scripting expertise, predominantly PowerShell
  • Support of Desktop / Laptop security Tools e.g., Anti-virus, Anti-malware, heuristic AV products and VPN technologies
  • Working in an ITIL environment following those processes for incident, request and change
  • Be highly effective as part of a wider team, and a real team player
  • An ability to identify and own technical challenges and lead efforts to overcome these
  • Knowledge of project delivery cycles and frameworks Understanding of Quality
