Deployment Technician - Customer Site Laptop Rollout - Temp Contract

Job Responsibilities

• Perform deployment and configuration of laptops and related hardware at customer sites in accordance with company standards and client requirements.
• Conduct on-site installations, including hardware setup, imaging, and software deployment.
• Ensure all equipment is correctly configured, tested, and ready for end-user use.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting during deployment to resolve any hardware or software issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate documentation of deployment activities, including asset tagging and inventory management.
• Coordinate with project managers and clients to schedule deployment activities and ensure minimal disruption.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines during on-site activities to ensure a safe working environment.
• Assist in the transfer of knowledge and provide basic user support post-deployment if required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience in deploying laptops, desktops, and peripheral devices in a corporate environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of Windows operating systems and imaging tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues efficiently.
• Good understanding of IT asset management and inventory procedures.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deployment deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) are desirable.
• Physical ability to carry and install hardware components at customer sites.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites across the region.
