Job Responsibilities
- Perform deployment and configuration of laptops and related hardware at customer sites in accordance with company standards and client requirements.
- Conduct on-site installations, including hardware setup, imaging, and software deployment.
- Ensure all equipment is correctly configured, tested, and ready for end-user use.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting during deployment to resolve any hardware or software issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate documentation of deployment activities, including asset tagging and inventory management.
- Coordinate with project managers and clients to schedule deployment activities and ensure minimal disruption.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines during on-site activities to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist in the transfer of knowledge and provide basic user support post-deployment if required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in deploying laptops, desktops, and peripheral devices in a corporate environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of Windows operating systems and imaging tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Good understanding of IT asset management and inventory procedures.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deployment deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) are desirable.
- Physical ability to carry and install hardware components at customer sites.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites across the region.
