Experis are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and reputable organisation as they continue to mature and modernise their data capabilities. We are supporting them in the search for a Data Operations Manager as part of their leadership team, responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and continual improvement of their enterprise data platforms.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong technical foundations and proven leadership experience in data engineering, data operations or data platform support. You'll shape modern DataOps practices, lead a growing team, and play a pivotal part in the organisation's data transformation journey.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Ensuring robust and reliable delivery of data products, tools, and services across the business.
  • Overseeing pipeline and platform health, maintaining SLAs, and driving rapid issue resolution.
  • Establishing proactive incident management processes, including monitoring, alerting, and root cause analysis.
  • Leading, developing, and coaching a high-performing team of Data Operations Engineers.
  • Driving modern DataOps capabilities aligned to the Group's Data Strategy, including automation, observability, and engineering best practice.
  • Acting as a technical authority on data operations, advising on monitoring, alerting, platform management, and operational standards.

Experience Required

  • Leading or managing data engineering, support, or DataOps teams.
  • Strong communicator, with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels.
  • Strong SQL and/or Python, with an understanding of Data Warehouse and Data Lake architectures.
  • Managing data platforms in cloud (AWS/Azure) or hybrid environments
  • Modern data tooling such as Snowflake, DBT, Fivetran, Power BI, MuleSoft (desirable).
  • Familiarity with work management tools such as JIRA and ServiceNow (desirable)
