Job Title: Data Lead
Location: Bristol
Duration: 6 months with likely extension
Rate: Up to £800 per day based on relevant experience

The role will lead the clients business data efforts across the whole of the Core UK phase of the project. This includes managing teams to coordinate the data cleansing and enrichment, mapping, conversion and reconciliation, process, and visualisation as part of our global Finance and Procurement transformation programme. The role will lead our Core UK data team and work across all Process towers working as part of a multidisciplinary core team (process, data, org design, systems, change and communications) which is implementing a simplified and standardised landscape across the Group Finance function.
The role is important because the programme replaces a large part of our old Finance systems across the clients Group. This transformation includes the implementation of an SAP/Hana platform. In order to move from their old systems to new, they need to ensure they manage and migrate the right data and that their data reconciles from end to end.
The scope of the role is to manage and be responsible for the data workstreams, including managing the efforts of the programme team, business, and shared services team in line with the overall data and Core UK delivery plans. This will include leading planning, progress meetings, stand-ups, logs, RAID, forecasts, reporting, resources and measures/KPIs, as well as critical engagements with the clients business stakeholders to deliver cleansed and reconciled data through conversion cycles and the business cutover.
There will be a need to bring people together to find solutions to problems and work to tight timelines. Prior and extensive experience in a data lead role on multinational company finance transformation programmes and extensive experience of Record to Report, Source to Pay and Invoice to Cash processes and data in an S4/Hana environment is a must.
You will be supported by an experienced team of people and third parties and will need to develop business partnerships to ensure delivery is the priority. You will be used to operating at and able to communicate with senior people in the business.
You need to have strong data and leadership skills, project, communication, and organisational skills:
- Extensive Finance data conversion experience (systems and process), Enterprise scale, SAP/HANA and ideally Oracle.
- Excellent communication skills, constructively engaging with team and business (written and verbal).
- Experience of leading and managing multidisciplinary teams under pressure.
- Able to work at pace, producing accurate quality deliverables on time.
- Work collaboratively with peers in the programme and senior stakeholders in the business to overcome issues.
- Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA).
- Management of Microsoft Project plans, use of excel, production of PPT slide presentations, reports
MANDATORY
- Extensive Data Lead experience in a complex multinational organisation.
- Data reconciliation lead experience.
- SAP HANA exposure.
