The location of this role is remote working (UK only).

The pay rate on offer is £11 per hour.

The client is an iconic, multinational high-street retailer.

On 1 January 2021, the UK Government department Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) launched the Submit Cosmetic Products Notification (SCPN) portal, allowing companies to notify cosmetic products made available on the GB market as of 1 January 2021, as required under Article 13 of the UK Cosmetics Regulation.

All cosmetic products the client sell into the EU currently have a notification made on the EU equivalent, the CPNP.

All of the client's beauty products placed on the market prior to 1st Jan 2021 , must have a full and correct notification onto the UK portal (SCPNP) by the 31st March 2021 in order to be compliant.

Key skills and experience:

  • Data entry, using Excel
  • Strong computer/IT literacy
  • Attention to detail - as it is a legal requirement, work must always be 100% accurate
  • Efficiency - significant number of products need updating

The requirement for the job is to:

Ensure all notifications required by law onto the UK SCPNP are input by 31st March 2021, for ALL cosmetic products historically placed on the UK market prior to 1ST Jan 2021;

  • Familiarise with the two portals (CPNP/SCPNP) and create a SCPNP/EU CPNP account
  • Familiarise with the notifications made on EU CPNP, and prepare to duplicate onto SCPNP
  • Download each notified product from the EU CPNP as an XML FILE
  • Upload the XML file to the UK SCPNP, checking for images and ensuring all files have been uploaded
  • Record on a master sheet (saved in Microsoft TEAMS) the new SCPNP number

Ensure all new SCPNP numbers are recorded into Excel sheet in teams and sent back to supplier.

  • Populate new SCPNP numbers into Excel sheet, ensuring the list is kept up to date and added to with every upload.
  • Communicate the latest updated SCPNP numbers to the relevant supplier once a week
  • Manage any ad-hoc new uploads required for brand new products to market
