What you'll be doing:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
- Containerise applications with Docker and deploy them efficiently.
- Integrate data from multiple sources, ensuring flows are clean, reliable, and consistent.
- Optimise pipeline performance, reliability, and observability.
- Collaborate with Data Scientists, Analysts, and Software Engineers to create robust data solutions.
- Contribute to the architecture and design of data platforms and services.
- Maintain data quality, security, and compliance across workflows.
What you'll bring:
- Strong programming skills in Java.
- Hands-on experience developing REST APIs or microservices with Spring Boot.
- Experience containerising applications with Docker.
- Understanding of relational and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with modern data architectures (ETL/ELT, streaming, event-driven systems).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
