Job Description

We are seeking a data developer to join our Technology COO data team. The data team builds and maintains an internal data store and tool providing a consolidated golden source of people data in Technology.

In this role you will work within the data team and with stakeholders in Technology, Finance, HR, Talent Acquisition and Business Management to maintain and develop enhancements to our database created as a repository for our people data.

This is an opportunity to join a multifaceted organisation collaborating with many functions and bridging the gap between business and technology.

Key Responsibilities

Working under the guidance of a data tooling manager, maintain and enhance the Technology COO people database and end user tool

Work on data sourcing, data downloading, data transformation, data validation, data clean-up, imputation, classification, aggregation/stratification, and data report generation

Maintain and update documentation such as data dictionaries, data flow diagrams, designs and related documentation at the appropriate level of clarity and detail

Deliver database enhancements to plan, as defined by formal requirements, to an agreed roadmap

Contribute to a high-performing development team by providing realistic and accurate development estimates as part of development planning

Support the successful transition of the consolidated people data source from the current tactical solution to the new CDE-Snowflake strategic solution, including decommissioning the tactical

Required Skills

Development, performance tuning, and experience with data warehouse and ETL technology

SQL Server, Access

Power BI

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Experience with agile development methodologies including Kanban and Scrum and full SDLC experience

Strong written and verbal communication skills with other team members, QA teams and internal business partners

Team player, ability to learn and understand new analytics platform quickly and efficiently

Carry out thorough quality assurance and testing of work
