Role Description:
Data Centre Engineer for Cyber+ Remediations programme
1. Implementation:
a. DC survey's
b. Installation of Physical servers, enclosures, blades in all DC's in HAL estate
c. Cabling from patch panels to servers
d. Labelling the servers
e. Connecting iLo ports for remote access
f. Co-ordinate with 3rd party network provider for any network connectivity issues
2. Decommission activities which includes below:
a. Identifying the physical servers in DC's
b. Low level formatting of the disks once the servers are shutdown
c. Cabling clean up
d. Updating the asset inventory every time removing or adding the servers
e. Remove physical servers (blades, servers, enclosures, storage appliances, storage switches etc.,)
f. Move the physical servers
g. Co-ordinate with tech provider and seek secure disposal certificate.
