Our client is a market leader in Insurance industry based in London looking for a Data Architect who will be responsible for development and maintenance of data architectures aligned with business needs and technological considerations.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Supporting business and IT projects from a data perspective, ensuring that these help to build towards the overall Future Data Architecture.
- Gathering data requirements (perhaps in collaboration with Business Analysts) and collation of these to inform the future direction of data capabilities.
- Co-development - with IT colleagues - of solution designs that meet business requirements and are accretive to the overall data landscape.
- Creating and maintaining data models of various sorts (conceptual to physical) and ones that span organisations consisting of different businesses.
Who we're looking for:
- 5+ years solid hands-on as a data architect, with a substantial number of these spent in Insurance and London Market experience a significant advantage.
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific, mathematical, technical or business discipline.
- Professional qualifications (e.g., CDMP Associate or DCAM accreditation etc.)
- Understanding and knowledge of system development life cycle methodologies (such as agile software development, rapid prototyping, incremental, synchronize and stabilize, and DevOps).
- Experience in data modelling tools (e.g., Erwin, Embarcadero, ER/Studio) and diagramming tools (e.g., MS Visio) and Cloud based tooling preferable MS Azure.
- Hold excellent communication and Teamwork problem solving skills.
