Data and Insight Analyst

Salary: £27,298 - £39,200 plus benefits

Location: Manchester with remote hybrid working

My client is a medical regulator and is looking for an experienced Data and Insight Analyst to help turn data from various sources into practical intelligence to help ensure the safety and legitimacy of the medical industry. This role would be perfect for someone that has the ability to interpret large and varied data-sets and is eager to communicate with important stakeholders with a range of abilities and experiences.

You will be working within a growing data insight team, using your experience of presenting and managing data to ensure that the correct procedures are being followed in the medical industry. You will be able to directly impact the way that medical services interact with patients and work alongside experienced data professionals. This role would be perfect for someone with experience in data who would like to influence a helpful and passionate industry, that effects a large proportion of the UK.

Essential Requirements

  • Experienced in working with large, complex data-sets in a data or insight function.
  • Experience of data management software or tools, such as advanced Excel.
  • Able to assimilate complex information held across multiple data sets and present the results in a format which enables non-technical colleagues to take action

Desirable Experience

  • Experience of, SQL, SPSS, R, Stata and/or data visualisation software such as Tableau is desirable. Or a proven ability to learn complex software packages.
  • Experience of BI/Visualisation tools (i.e. Power BI or similar).
  • Experience of planning and delivering projects involving cleaning and validating large data sets for processing and reporting
  • Able to write engaging reports about complex data for non-technical audiences.
