In this role, you will:
- Provide analysis, project management and presentations to solve complex strategic issues at pan-European level or deep-diving into specific Countries, Functions or Lines of Business
- Work collaboratively with Lines of Businesses and Functions to analyse complex sets of data and seek the resolution of management problems based on data and analysis
- Through connections, knowledge and deep forensic analysis identify new Cost Reduction opportunities and work across HBEU Exco to get implemented; partner with the Cost Management units to enable them to deliver the AOP commitments in each of the category
- Accountable for identifying, designing and leading on delivery on day to day analytics;
- Accountable for working in partnership with the Qlik development team to deliver a P&L Dashboard and leading edge analytics during Q1 2022;
- Owning and delivering on key initiatives to change the bottom line of HBEU;
- Support the transformation of the underlying Finance processes to improve efficiency;
- Run the Cost Delivery Unit community of 30 CFOs and COOs from across HBEU (including a number of GCB2's) to maximise the saves delivered by the GB, GFs and DBS.
Successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills, including Excel and Power Point and, specifically for the Cost role, TM1 and Qliksense as well as knowledge of cost base and the recharging / allocation mechanism
- An ability to navigate very complex stakeholder environments with different priorities and data sets, and rally a set of senior and junior people around a common goal
- Willingness to learn and step out of your comfort zone, for the whole duration of the role, as well as adapt to a changing and varied work environment and set of projects
