Role description:
Processes easy to understand and directs others in the pursuit of this as needed. Understands and implements as needed appropriate content styles and standards. Identifies, analyses, manages and monitors relationships with and between stakeholders, using evidence to explain decisions made and balancing competing priorities. Leads the design and implementation of content strategies, directing the evaluation of strategies and policies to ensure business requirements are being met. Works with user researchers to understand users, identifying who they are and what their needs are based on evidence. Prioritises and defines approaches to understanding user stories, guiding others in doing so, and proposes design approaches or services to meet these needs.
Offers experience of content design for both digital and non-digital services with proven ability to create usable and accessible content, which is accurate, timely, high quality and conforms to style and meets user needs. Demonstrable knowledge and passion for user-centered design practices for both internal and public facing services Able to use analytical and problem-solving skills to help the team solve design problems and challenge assumptions. Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team in an agile development environment, and therefore at ease with rapidly changing deadlines, workloads and goals. Work with minimal supervision to create and iterate content for end-to-end services that makes complex language and processes easy to understand and directs others
Understand how a digital service should address the needs of all possible users so that no one is excluded, with particular reference to accessibility and assisted digital. Experience of working on GOV.UK and other government services.
