Communications Executive

Key aim:

To build and maintain the reputation of the UK Group with external stakeholders and clients so that the interests of the business and clients are reinforced and protected.

Person profile:

A communications professional with 18 months + looking to take the next step.
You'll play a key role in delivering Group-wide external and internal communciations activities to achieve strategic and organisational objectives. You will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • An ability to build relationships with key contacts of all levels across the business and suppliers
  • Good analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated and 'can-do' attitude, with ability to work individually and within teams
  • Strong time-management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deliver on deadline
  • Motivated to participate in development opportunities that increase capability and performance

Preferred skills and experience:

  • Communications professional
  • Ability to project manage and cope in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Strong writing and content development
  • Press office experience beneficial

  • Internal brand connectivity and engagement
  • Brand awareness and positive coverage

  • Creation and distribution of thought-leadership materials

Day to day responsibilies:

  • Delivery of internal communications programme
  • Co-ordination of intranet and yammer communities
  • Co-ordination of press office and crisis messaging
  • Liaison and support of brand and campaign teams to align and develop key messaging
  • Create regular content that is relevant to the latest issues and trends in the market
  • Communications work-stream support for project work
  • Support around policy & legislative agenda e.g. Brexit, Pay Reporting, Apprenticeship Levy
  • Engagement and co-ordination with key industry bodies e.g. CBI, REC, APSCo,
  • Liaison with global communications on key issues
  • Engagement with Communications Agency
  • Support the promotion of Group thought leadership, market commentary materials and events
  • Measure ROI on all communications activities and take appropriate action to improve performance
