A Commercial Gas Engineer is required by a prestigious organisation in their Farnborough offices.
As the Commercial Gas Engineer you will be undertaking the delivery of a safe & reliable estates service to meet the requirements of the Facilities Management service provision (for the business and their tenants). You will take a lead with delivering planned, reactive and demand mechanical maintenance including the management of specialist contractors in this area.
You will take a lead on all mechanical safe systems of work as the site based Appointed Person.
The Building Services Engineer will ensure that estates and operational activities are delivered in accordance with the current Health, Safety and Environmental legislation. Undertaking other reasonable tasks as required by the manager.

Responsibilities for the Commercial Gas Engineer:
- The Building Services Engineer will provide maintenance support (including new installations; planned and corrective maintenance) in relation to site services, plant / equipment & buildings.
- You will take a lead in reacting to mechanical plant failure and be able to fault find and rectify.
- The Building Services Engineer will show the ability to take a lead and feedback on the continuous improvement of planning maintenance and reactive maintenance processes.
- You will be responsible for the management of the mechanical plant room H&S.
Essential Skills for the Commercial Gas Engineer:
- Hold or be eligible for SC Clearance
- The Building Services Engineer must be able to hold Gas Safe Registration possessing current and have appropriate ACS Gas Qualifications mainly for commercial installations with a minimum of CCN1 inc. CPA1, CCCN1, CORT1,, ICPN1, ICAE1, TPCP1 & 1A, CCN1, CENWAT.
- You must have good knowledge and level of competency in other areas of building services (BMS, electrical or mechanical services)
- Proven track record in delivering building services and gained relevant experience working on domestic and commercial gas installations
- Full driving licence
- Ideally have a knowledge of MOD JSP 375 safe systems of work, eg Vol3, Chap 4 Mechanical Systems and Chap 8 Gas Installations.
- Ability to solve problems and make decisions
- Hold or be eligible for SC Clearance
